The Charreada is considered in Mexico the national sport for excellence, it was declared a “National Sport” by the former president of Mexico, Don Manuel Avila Camacho, and he declared on September 14th as the “Day of The Charro”.
This sport comes after the agrarian reform at beginning of the 20th century, when the old landowners migrate to bigger cities, mainly to Mexico city and Guadalajara. In these cities, they organized different charro partnership which gradually spread throughout the country up a way better organized Charreada.
Ther Charreria is considered a travail, and it has several categories such as Media or half Gala, Gala Great Gala and Etiquette, The practice of the charreada is divided into 10 scoring events, they are called lucky charreadas, so because the successful implementation depends largely on the will of the beast with which to be executed, and these scoring events are the “Cala de Caballo” (reining), “Piales en el Lienzo” (heeling), “Colas” (steer tailing), “Jineteada de Toro” (bull riding), “Terna en el Ruedo” (team roping), “Manganas a Pie” (fore footing), “Manganas a Caballo” (fore footing on horseback), “Paso de la Muerte” (the pass of death), “Charro Completo” (complete charro) and “Escaramuzas” (skirmish).
ARENA VALLARTA, an ultra modern facility covering 10 hectares. This place has capacity for 5,000 spectators, access for the disabled, parking for 600 cars, a commercial area and stables for horses. ARENA VALLARTA brought to Puerto Vallarta the 1st National Charro championship which began on Thursday January 26th at 3 p.m. with the opening ceremony and later on started with the first of ten charreadas until the great final on Sunday 29th . We had 27 of the team in the country from 13 different states, and one U.S representative from the states of California. Thes most notable teams include “Tres Potrillos” by Don Vicente Fernandez (one of our best Mexican singers), Hacienda Tamariz, champion of the National Congress in 2010, as well as former champion “Tequila Hacienda Vieja”, “Tequila Don Roberto”, “Puente de Camotlan” and the national skirmish champion from “Rancho Nuevo” of Polotitlan from state of Mexico, entitled the national record for points.
Objective of our events:
The rescue and promoting of Mexican identity through the charreada, the events, such as festival and galas that can generat great quality in the Mexican territory.

To promote and to disseminate all types of event, as a living tradition and high quality and profitable shows with great social content. We will have a place for national championship of our Mexican sport and at the same time admire and enjoys shows that sometimes we can only see in large cities.
